Angels Pitcher Dies In Car Crash

ANAHEIM, California :- Los Angeles Angels pitcher Nick Adenhart has been killed in a car crash in the early hours of Thursday. The 22-year-old was among three people who died after their car was struck by a minivan in Fullerton, California, a few miles from the Angels' stadium.

The accident occurred hours after the pitcher made his season debut with his father in the stands, throwing six scoreless innings against the Oakland Athletics. The Angels ultimately lost the game, 6-4.

Players planned to gather to remember their teammate, manager Mike Scioscia said.
